It was wonderful to see everyone at our first meeting of 2015-2016 on Monday, when Henry Shackleton talked to us about his experiences as a Pathfinder pilot in World War II. Our time in his company was by turns fascinating, powerful, moving and funny – catch Henry’s talk if you can!

In August we had a lovely evening learning about the gunpowder industry around Faversham. We were treated to an excellent tour of the museum and a walk to some of the sites in historic Faversham. Many thanks to Jackie for sharing her photo with us!
Last month we had a guided tour of St. Leonard’s Church, Hythe followed by a talk in the Town Hall and a walk around the many historic buildings in this famous cinque port. A really excellent day!
