Ashford’s Hidden Passages

In 2009, as part of Ashford’s fourth Art and Architecture Festival, local artist Cathy Streeter curated a project entitled Hidden Passages, tracing the route and history of some of Ashford’s secret spaces.

A map and photos of the passages explored can be found here.

Cathy invited residents to join her at ‘discovery sessions’ in the town centre to discuss the town’s old thoroughfares and gather tales of times past. You can download Cathy’s notes from the meetings at The George and County Square below.
